Best Water Sports in Miami
One of the most spectacular sights on a night trip is to witness hundreds of tiny star-like bio-luminescent plankton flickering like a starry night sky. As you move through the dark water these tiny creatures glow with life. Wave your paddle through the water in front of you, and be mesmerized by the tiny sparkling specs of plankton or Dinoflagellates, tiny unicellular marine plankton also known as fire plants. Fed by the thriving mangrove forest these tiny creatures generate a green flash of light when agitated.
Best observed in the darkest skies, summer waters in the lagoon sparkle as your paddle blades moves through the water. Fish swim by lighting their trail in the lagoon.
Best viewing is June through October. These are living colonies and they do move. We cannot guarantee full viewing every night but we can tell you it’s a great experience under the night sky

Experience paddlers may venture around Virginia Key, a 7 mile route, or stay closer to home and explore the north point with spectacular views of the Port of Miami and opulent Fisher Island.

If you can ride a bicycle, you can windsurf. All ages and ability levels welcomed. Beginner Windsurfing lessons taught three times daily at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00.
After learning the basics you can move on to experience the unending thrills of windsurfing. Sailboards Miami can teach you to carve the perfect jibe, waterstart, use a windsurfing harness, beach-start and wave sail.
